Rhinestone wraps

Rhinestone wraps ($7)
I made these really awesome bracelets from a project I found on http://pinterest.com/  I've been getting some great craft inspiration from there lately and it has definitely helped me expand the quality of my jewelry.  Another website that has got me hooked is http://craftgawker.com/ , it's like the tumblr of craft websites. I usually check it out about once a week but I'll spend at least an hour or two staring and scrolling through the amazing crafts that people have done.

I thought these bracelets were awesome and I had to make some. They sold out when I went to the Jacksonville Art Walk so of course I have to make some more. (woot!) They look a little tribal which I love and tribal prints and zig zags are back for this fall ☼

Music influences

Hi Viewers!
As a former highschool band nerd I really feel like music is the way people can experience someone else's feelings.  I get a lot of my influence from the music I listen to and there has been so much great music running through my headphones lately so I thought I would share some with you all.

"Lights" by Ellie Goulding
The song is from her album titled "Lights" and it is so amazing. Anyone who really likes this song should really get the whole album. I find the melodies following me everywhere I go.

"Wordshaker" by The Saturdays
I love this group so much! A friend got me hooked on them and every song is a great jam. I also really like their songs "Ego" and "karma" a lot but it seems that "Wordshaker" has been in my head lately.

"It's like that" by Outasight
This is yet another American Eagle song. I think it was the summer 2 CD that had this but every time it came on in the store I wanted to replay it. They also have another really great song called "Everything".

"Young Love"  by This Century
This band is so amazing! I met them last year at Freebird Live on Jax beach and they were incredibly nice and genuine.(http://alibrin.blogspot.com/2010/10/this-century.html)  Their personalities make the music all the better. If you like this song you should definitely get the entire album! (The Sound Of Fire) Seriously people this band is AWESOME! There isnt a song that I would press "skip" for on this album.

"We Dont Care" by Lets Get It
You guessed it, American Eagle jam. I really just love this song. It's so great and they have a gree download on their facebook page (what could be better?)

"Cigarettes in the Theater" by Two Door Cinema Club
This is one of my favorite "indie" bands. They have the perfect mix and rock, jam and pop. This is another album where I couldn't bare to skip a song.

"Sleepyhead" by Passion Pit
This song is a little bit older but Passion Pit is a must listen for me when I'm getting crafty. There are not many words that can describe their awesomeness.

These were just a few of my favorite lesser known artists but I have so many other influences that you may or may not have heard of...such as:
"All of the lights" by Kanye West http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAfFfqiYLp0&ob=av2e
"Heavy Metal Lover" by Lady Gaga http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyN5157_Xos&ob=av2e
"Erase me" by Kid Cudi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICaTsTkBPV8&ob=av2e
"Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JipHEz53sU&ob=av2e
"Alligator Sky" by Owl City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tY5RErnakc&ob=av2e
"Blow" by Ke$ha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFWX0hWCbng&ob=av2e

Stay tuned for more music influences (I've got a ton!) and let me know what your recent music influences are ☼

First Jacksonville Art Walk

Hey everyone! I had a great time this past Wednesday at my very first Jacksonville Art Walk!
My roommate and I were so excited to join in on the fun and we are definitely planning to come back next month. I noticed a few fan favorite items so I will plan accordingly for next time.

and some canvas

The feather earrings were very popular and I didn't see any vendors with the same feather style as I have so in these upcoming weeks you can expect some new feather creations. Recycled wrist bands were also a big hit and were actually my top seller so those will also be flooding my blog soon. I know you all have different favorites and I would love to know what they are! Leave me a comment here or post on the A.B.C. facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ali-Brin-Creations/180108705360522 to let me know what I should be making this month. I will also be making some new esty posts so stay tuned if you are looking to have your very own A.B.C. and are not currently in the Jacksonville area.
Dont forget to check out my roommate Kristen's blog http://kristensmith51.blogspot.com/
